Description

The Spec Pak was originally developed to extract injured Navy SEALs from a submarine, a situation where a standard litter or rollup stretch was too bulky.  Refined over the years, it has become the go-to choice for professionals when it comes to getting an injured person out of a tight spot.

Built around a smooth plastic backsheet that allows for ease of dragging and sliding, the key to the Spec pak is the sliding cervical restraints.  This means when hoisting vertically, the head moves with the patient, rather than being fixed and adding strain to the neck as they are lifted.

Color coded straps make for fast setup and ease of packaging.

The integrated NFPA rated harness eliminates the need for an additional patient harness, further speeding the process, and reducing the time needed to reach definitive care.

Features and Specifications:

  • Certified by UL to NFPA 2500 as a Class 3 victim extrication device
  • Rated to 310 pounds, fits patients waist size from 28”-54”
  • Unit Weight of only 15 lbs( 6.8 kg)
  • 5 grab handles for dragging and maneuvering, rated to 75 kg each
  • 5 Connection Points: 1-Head, 2-shoulder, 2-chest
  • Integrated handcuffs to maintain narrow patient profile
  • Hardware is non sparking, for use in potentially explosive environments

User Notes:

  • The lifting bridle must be used in all lifting scenarios.  Never tie into a single point.

  • Horizontal or recumbent positions should be used whenever possible.
  • Bulky clothing and any existing harnesses MUST be removed prior patient packaging.
