Weight reduction of up to 35% over pulleys of similar size. Designed
specifically for mountain rescue and USAR applications when a lightweight,
NFPA G certified pulley is needed. Made using aircraft quality aluminum,
this design features a 2.5 inch sheave (full, true 2 inch tread diameter).
This diameter sheave is the best compromise for aximizing efficiency
while reducing weight and bulk. Unique channel milled into the side
of the sheave reduces the effect of debris building up between it
and the side plate. Side plate design allows the use of larger ropes
in a compact pulley. Manufactured exclusively for Yates by SMC. Certified
to NFPA G 1983/2006 ed. Weight 8.5 oz. single, 15 oz. double.

| SMC Swiftwater Pully | Designed
to fulfill the requirements of swiftwater rescue. Made using aircraft
quality aluminum, this super lightweight pulley features a 2 inch
sheave. Anodized side plates feature a series of holes that help to minimize the hydroplaning effect that might occur with a typical pulley. These side plates are also configured to maximize the effectiveness of a prusik hitch. Unique side plate formation allows the use of larger ropes in a compact pulley. | SMC Kootenay HX Pulley | The new Kootenay
HX from SMC is the most advanced knot passing pulley on the market.
This is an entirely new and more compact design. Aluminum side plates
are used in conjunction with a high-strength aluminum sheave. Sealed
ball bearings provide optimal efficiency and help to reduce the performance-robbing
resistance that is inherent in most multiple component systems. The
primary carabiner hole accepts numerous rescue carabiners. Secondary
carabiner holes are provided for use with tag or belay lines. Two
quick-release pins may be used to lock off the sheave when a high
strength tie - off is required. Adding to its versatility, the Kootenay
HX may also serve as an edge roller for rope protection. Weight 1lb.
